EDM#236 sketch the palm of your hand

Who's old hand is this? Wow, I could of gotten lost in details of the creases and wrinkles for endless hours. I haven't worked in pencil in some time. It was fun and yet challenging to give it a go again. Won't wait so long next time.

After working on this I remembered the magazine "Drawing, Summer 2009" put out by "American Artist", has an article "The Structure and Surface Forms of the Hand" by Valerie L.Windslow. It breaks down the structure and muscles in a very basic summary.

No matter how basic it may look, our palms are all unique and complex in their own special ways. These are really great sketches just to say that :)

I like hoe you have faded out the fingers - really emphasizes the line and patterns of the palms. Well done.

Great job on the hand. The palm is harder than you think. And at 40 plus you are still a mere child!
